Here at Statenville Baptist Church we have the privilege of supporting Danny Deloach and his family as they serve through the ministry of Wycliffe. While their ministry has taken them to PNG (Papua New Guinea) for many years, they have recently returned stateside to undertake a different role in the ministry. This new position consist in training, equipping, and assisting indigenous church leaders in taking ownership of Bible translation projects in their native tongue. One of the main reasons our churches formed the "Southern Baptist Convention" over 150 years ago was to network resources for the spread of the gospel abroad. Formerly known as the "Foreign Mission Board," the IMB serves as the sending agency for our network of churches within the SBC. As a result, we join the thousands of churches that give financially to support individuals and families from our churches going for the spread of the gospel, particularly where it has never been heard.
Not only are we focused on spreading the gospel beyond our shores, but also seeing people reached and churches planted on the continent of North America. The NAMB, formerly know as the "Home Mission Board," seeks to accomplish this as we send out teams to plant churches in all areas of the United States and Canada. We gladly come alongside these brothers and sisters in Christ as they pursue the spread of his kingdom right here in our backyard.
